New Air Jordan XXXI “Banned” Sneakers 2016 For Sale

10/09/16

Cheap Jordans 2016, Inspired by the simplicity of the insanely popular Air Jordan 1 “Banned,” Jordan Brand returns with a new iteration of the Air Jordan XXXI. The silhouette gets the fan-favorite black and red treatment for its latest release, with previous colorways seen at the Olympics, and having been worn by the likes of Carmelo Anthony during the USA Olympic Team’s run for gold. The sneaker itself features a minimal and very wearable design. A black synthetic leather heel fades with a gradient to a lightweight red Flyweave toe. A large Jumpman logo sets off the heel, serving as the focal point of the shoe, while the Jordan Brand and Nike logos take a back seat with primarily tonal coloring and only the front of the iconic swoosh visible on the side panel. The sole too, plays off the aesthetic of the classic OG Jordan with the word “BANNED” spelled out on both the left and right sneaker under the translucent red outsole. From a performance perspective, Nike Zoom and Flightspeed tech paired with a foam inner-sleeve create a shoe that is both comfortable and supportive.
Continuing the New Jordans 2016 Legacy, the Air Jordan XXXI brings unprecedented performance and style to the game of basketball. An interwoven design with original Jordan DNA elements, the flywire cables lock in your foot, providing extra support that moves with you. That is the beauty of Flyweave. It isn’t leather. Mesh has been around for a while, but it is difficult to master a soft material that can handle the wear-and-tear of a basketball player. Flyweave, at least in its early form, is a start to that remedy. The XXXI serves as a landmark, being the first Air Jordan with Flyweave as the main material of the shoe.
New Jordans 2017, The standard, red-and-black version of the shoes has history. As the story goes, Michael Jordan were the red and black Air Jordan I, despite being warned by the NBA that the colorway did not fit the league dress code at the time. Jordan wore the sneaker anyway, and Nike paid the $5,000 fine he got each time he put them on. As a tribute, the XXXI has the word “BANNED” written across the bottom. The red and black feels traditional, going back to standard Bulls colors. More interesting is the dual Nike and Jordan Brand logos on the sides of the shoe. The Air Jordan started as a Nike shoe. Then in 1997, Jordan Brand became its own company, as a subsidiary that Nike owned. On top of that, the original Air Jordan logo is stenciled at the top of the shoe. The standard Jumpman logo is on the side toward the heel. For those who like to show off brands, the XXXI is full of insignias.
